Gene Bishop’s mission on Erigon: to collect dinosaur eggs for the spectacular Dino-World park – a re-creation of the Mesozoic Age on Earth. But there is one terrifying difference between these dinosaurs and their extinct Terran brethren: the Erigon monsters are apparently intelligent. This seems unbelievable, but Leea, who has spent her whole life fleeing from these gigantic creatures, can foresee horror and destruction if they are allowed to breed on Earth. But Bishop has too much at stake to believe her.

The premise seems fairly similar to Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park. In an interview Glut stated that he doubted Crichton was aware of Spawn. In fact, Glut admits that Spawn is rip-off of Crichton’s film Westworld, the plot of which involves the rebellion of robots, rather than dinosaurs, at a sophisticated theme park.
